Animated gif avatars look weird

I like how vbulletin gives users the opportunity to upload animated gifs as their avatars. It definitely adds some personality to the avatars.

However, they look weird if they aren't a perfect square.

Also, with that, when you upload an animated gif avatar, a window comes up telling you to re-size, but you can't (because it's an animated gif)

When a user posts in the forum, the avatar is sized into a square frame that looks like crap...like so:

no need to add code just set the stylevar to 0px
