Is there going to be any automatic embedding of Youtube

In V5? This has been a heavily used hack in the past.

We support this in vBulletin 4+ and will continue to support it in vBulletin 5.

Is it automated in vb4/vb5 or do you need to click on the bbcode button?

Not sure what the difference is... In vBulletin 5, you can insert using the Link content type or the BBCode.

Instead of clicking on the Insert Video icon and inserting the link simply enough to paste in the link:

With the above mentioned hack it was/is possible in previous vB versions.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

As beishe8 said. All the user had to do was put a link in a post and it automatically wrapped the bbcode around the link if it was a video url (Of course this could be enabled or disabled depending on the admins taste). Anything that simplifies the task for the end user is a positive in my opinion.

I happen to agree with this...automatic embedding of video URLs is generally something users love (that is to say, you just paste the link and post, and the software puts the tags in for you).
I know there were tracker entries for it for vB4, not sure if there are for vb5 or not. If not there should be.

My only caveat would be, it would need to be an admincp option so sites that did NOT want it could turn it off.
