    Most painful install ever

Tried to update my forum on http://www.spoofee.com/forums

I had issues where the upgrade just froze and I had to reload (step 22 to be exact)

After the install, I just get a blank forum and getting a 404 on the admincp page.

I already paid, wish I could get my money back, but I'll just wait until the full version is released.

Did you remove all the 4.2 files?

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

Which step 22? Some steps actually require a long time to run, especially if you have a large amount of content. Using the CLI Upgrade is usually quicker.

The second issue is most likely due to missing the .htaccess file from the upload folder. Please post in the vB5 Upgrade forum with more details and we'll get you up and running as quickly as possible.

Yes, this was installed on a new folder as stated in the install README.
