Would people rather IB stated a date and put out a "Gold Release" whether it was truly a Gold Release or not? It seems as though they'd rather not go through the rigmarole of the vB4 Gold Release with vB5. If they don't put out a Gold Release by the end of the year I'll assume it was because they didn't yet have a Gold Release to put out. It certainly isn't as though they are going to sit on a Gold Release just to hear people complain about how the product is still in beta.

There's a huge focus on making a high quality product at the moment. The product is still in beta because it is still in beta. Most customers, myself included, don't want a rushed release, we do not seem to be getting a rushed release.

I think the development cycle is progressing really well.

They will go to RC versions when they are ready to go to RC version. Stop putting dates and months out there that you think will happen.

There won't be any RC's. Just my guess.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

Wow. This is the first time I've blatantly scoffed at the use of Wikipedia as an argument. Thank you for the experience.

You don't even know who put that on Wikipedia. Anyone can say anything on the internet.

B 17 already here, the next step is RC1 which is checking the dates in that table very close.
I agree that it should not be correct,vB5 is not ready for that...
