115+ executed queries on frontpage, mind blowing

I hope the devs realize executing 115 queries on a page is simply insane, even if they are "ultra fast" queries (which are not). Doing some simple math: 1,000 users hitting simultaneously the frontpage (which is pretty common for any small forum) will result in an astonishing 115,000 queries/sec. You will need a super server in order to cover that number.

Can we have the number of queries executed on other important pages, like forumdisplay, showthread, etc.?

forumdisplay, showthread, etc... don't really exist as they did before. Queries will vary based on the setup the user has for individual pages.

Thank you, Luke. Based on a default setup as presented into Demo, how many queries are ran on this page: http://www.vbulletin.com/vb5demo/forum/main-forum

Can the devs insert the number of queries commented into footer, so we can look at the html source and see it live?

Don't honestly know. Have been too busy to count queries. We're aware there are too many queries. We're aware the performance is not where it needs to be. We've acknowledged this and stated we're working to improve it.

This is 'one' performance issue developers are working on right now:

        There are others as well.

I could understand the performance/query count issues if the software was early alpha, but it's marked as Beta, shouldn't all those issues have been cleared by the time it reached Beta 1?
              Ugh.

Alphas are too heavily in flux. During Alpha there were still design recommendations being made and features added. Beta puts a stop to that so you can really get in there an optimize the code. Beta does not mean bug free or that we think it is bug free.

Those are the issues developers should be working on "Next" as specified by the Bug Review Board. The Bug Review Board prioritizes every issue and is comprised of members from Support, Development, QA, Product Design and Project Managers.
