CMS and VBULLETIN 5

I don't have any problem with a phased in release of features, during beta at least. However, a major feature like CMS not being one of the first released does concern me a bit, and there is no way I can upgrade until it is available.
One of the pages I saw suggested pricing was going to change after 10/31, which I have serious problems with. Expecting customers to make a decision to adopt a new version during beta for a discount is one thing, but when that beta doesn't include main features yet there's a problem.
To be honest, getting only a $40 discount for being a current VB4 customer is also a major turn off. I could see if VB3 customers got a reduced discount like that, but as I've already upgraded once I would hope for a little bit better pricing, maybe around $179. I understand the whole, 'but you're getting all future 5.X upgrades', but if that only gets me to 5.2 before they charge me for 6.0, that doesn't help much.
Finally, is there any word if we'll get printable versions of articles in VB5? This was a missing feature that made no sense (given the printable view of forum threads) and was largely ignored.Comment

Yeah... once again, CMS users get screwed... there are discount codes available now and there is no way in hell I am upgrading until I see the CMS.
So tired of the CMS continuously taking a backstage to the forum...👍 1Comment

The CMS isn't the only component which always seems to get backstaged though, the blogs did with VB3 and 4, heck, even the mobile suite? seems to have gone the same route.
Which is why they shouldn't keep trying to expand into areas other than forums, because they're obviously spreading themselves too thin, otherwise the CMS would be launched (and complete) at VB5 gold.
Given the amount of bugs that are going to be in VB5 at launch, like VB4, I can't see the CMS seeing the light of day for ages and even when it does get releases, can anyone here honestly see it being a quality, professional product?Comment

So it's been a year and no mention of the CMS or Blogs that were pushed so hard as the vbulletin 4 "suite"
Do we think it'll be ready by Sept. 2014??👍 1Comment

I currently run version 4, but purchased a license to 5 when it was released. I don't use it because of the lack of CMS. Until there's a CMS, I can't see a compelling case for going through the hassle of upgrading when 4 is stable and doing all we need, including CMS. Disappointing, I must say, that the CMS is taking so long, so long I begin to wonder if its vaporware.👍 2Comment
