Maybe it is already Beta 10.01?

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

The amount of nonsense in this thread is rising again.

I already covered this elsewhere, go look for it if it really bothers you that much.

On the brighter side, at least the vb5 demo has provided us all with some good laughs.
            + 1

What a joke. Bought a copy I have as well! Gonna use it for a VB4 I think.

I think by releasing it for public sale it helps VB get loads of testers on many different setups. Not only does this not cost them anything it cost you instead. Quite clever marketing really.

How could this possibly piss anyone off?

They can see the beta, they get a small discount (yeah it's small)... but absolutely no one should be surprised by anything.

Anyone who buys it without looking at the demo, which is a completely public picture of it's current level of development is well... I don't know what to say.

Sure, I'm disappointed at where it's at, but happy that I can watch it's development over the next four to six weeks which is going to tell the story, not what we see now.
                  Hmmm. Cheese.

If you bought a lump of rotten cheese for $200, that wouldn't make you mad? I agree, I am waiting to see, but the foundation is not a good start.

No, it's more like if you were at the grocery store and you sampled some food that made you vomit immediately and bought it anyway you really don't have a case to be mad when you get home.

Everyone should just go play on their sites for five weeks and come back and have a second look. I keep telling myself I won't come back for a while, but it's kind of like gazing at a burning building.

                            Doesn't matter
I will buy it and I will use it so the most important thing for me is beta 11 and above.
                            Signature test :)

Hey this gives me an idea! A self banning feature! Maybe it already exists. Call it Personal Productivity Monitor. If I try to log in between 9-5 it redirects me to my to do list on my calendar or something work related.... lol

                                Rotflmao!

I have to admit though, the more I play with it, the more I get used to it, and find things that I like about it. Even though the things I like about it are very small and minute in the larger scheme of things, and the things I don't like about it are really major issues.
