    I don' think that is planned for a future version. I recall reading somewhere that the new URL structure is what it is, and there are no plans to go back to the old.

      vBulletin 5 is compatible with previous URLs. That is the URLs used before you upgrade will continue working after your upgrade. However all new URLs will be in the vBulletin 5 format. The system will automatically redirect to the new URLs.

        yes but this is where the problem is, i don't want the system to automatically redirect to the new URLs
        we need to keep the exact same url structure as before
        New url scheme is a true disaster on non latin forum (russian for example)

        please wayne ask to add an option to permit to not redirect old URLs to new URLs ...

          Such an option would not be added, the vB5 url structure is completely different and if old URLs were not redirected, they would fail, which isnt helpful to anyone.

            There is a JIRA to add some options http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-4528. However we the old URLs won't come back. The more important thing would be to get your URL issues into JIRA so they can be fixed.
