How to delete the install file

I got the email the other day, can anyone walk me through deleting the file?

This is not about deleting a file, it is about deleting a directory.

Since you post in the vB5 forums, I guess you use vB5 currently. To to your server/webspace via a FTP program and delete the core/install directory. That's it.

Careful: Only delete the install directory within the core folder, not (!) the core directory itself!

1) If you do not have an FTP client, download and install FileZilla (google for the URL).

2) Log into your server using Filezilla.

3) Navigate into public_html then your forum directory... navigate into core.

4) Click on install.

5) Press the delete key on your keyboard.

6) Wait until Filezilla is done and close the program.

If those steps don't work, you need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to do it for you.
