I could never consider using this software unless it gets considerably faster. Why the sluggish performance?
Why does it take forum topics so long to load?

Well, why vBulletin would allow its site to run on vBulletin 5 is beyond my comprehension. The site performance is living testament the fact that the software is not competitive with other offerings. I don't understand the rationale behind making vbulletin.com run on this software. I'm sure everyone who posts on this forum has a vested interest in wanting to like this software. But who does? I have the fastest residential Internet connection currently available. Fiber optic. Most people would drool at the speed of my Internet connection. But at vbulletin.com's forum? Using this site is just painful. What gives? Is it the server that it runs on? Is it the software? Who knows?
Please make something that we can use. Users are fickle. They won't stay on a forum that is painful to use. Right now, vBulletin is painful to use. It has been since version 4.0 in many ways. Every time I come to this site, I think to myself before I log on, "Oh, no. How long will I have to wait this time before a topic loads? I really don't want to go there, but I need to ask this question." I think twice and three times before clicking on a Google link that has vbulletin.com in its URL.
Why is this happening? Why are you making your users feel pain to visit this site?Last edited by jdougher; Mon 5 Aug '13, 9:25am.👍 2Comment
