It is, however right now there are some guest caching mechanisms that make it harder. Also a large majority of forums prohibit guest posting due to spam.

The current simple answer would be to disable guest caching. But I wouldn't recommend it.

yes, but on my side i thing it's really painfull to force user to register to post in the forum (see the success of wikipedia). at least captcha verification are here to block robots

I not understand why you need guest caching mechanisms ! it's look like you really need to improuve your SQL queries. also did you try some engine like sphinx that can work with mysql to really speed up you website ? just try, it's unbelievable how fast is it !
