The truth is probably not but it doesn't hurt to vote. Sometimes different people think a bug is more important to them while others may think is less important.

We have to vote in order to get obnoxious glitches fixed?
Voting isn't required to get things fixed. Voting lets us know how many people it affects and can get it fixed quicker. Whether you vote or not is up to you. I was giving you the option to get it fixed sooner rather than later.

The reason the pages sometimes lock up and you can't even scroll is because the page is rendered but waiting for the "tons of javascript" to load (this is where ajax has gone wrong, really poor ajax design. I usually don't knock on developers but this is a big stretch).

This "bug" doesn't even have to be "voted" for nor even logged by customers. This misuse of ajax should have been caught right of the bat. Ajax is really great when you know how to use it properly.

At one point I believed it was in the interest of everyone that bugs get fixed as soon as possible.

Reality is we can't fix everything at the same time- everything gets prioritized.

Are we talking about "everything at the same time" or about outstanding bugs that have been noted in Jira for weeks, months, and years?

The JIRA mentioned in this thread http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-8100 is about enabling or disabling the scroll feature. Yes, ok, give the admin a choice but the thread was not about switching on or off, it was about fixing the scroll.

I like the scroll effect very much but it really needs to be developed and quicker if it is going to be of any great use.

Why is the url (above) very long and repetitive and how is it I can comment on my own comments?

What is in the vBulletin 4.X tracker really has no bearing on this project.

You're free to enter in your own JIRA. That is the best way to try and affect change in the project. If the issue isn't in JIRA, then it won't get worked on.

My suggestion is for a per user option, not an admin option. The scrolling doesn't really bog down my machine performance wise. I just would like more control over what is scrolled and when.

With you all the way on this one.

My main issue is when a forum is opened, a user always has to scroll to the bottom of the screen in order to look into the threads. It would be much better if the scroll would automate itself as the page loads. By this I mean bring the page up to the top and make itself ready for exploration.

Thanks.
