Scrolling

I am finding myself scrolling much more than before.
I open a thread and then I have to scroll to the bottom of the screen to look at content.

Yes, the link to the latest unread post is not working right- another known bug.

Ok, work is being done. Thanks

It does go a little further than that. In some areas the auto scroll works a treat but it is still a fact that more scrolling is needed to get through or even see content.

Maybe it is related to customization? I think the area in the attached picture (if you can find it) is too big.

That's if scrolling even works. I just linked to this page and it scrolls like a crazed dog in a hubcap factory.

Auto scrolling works very well in some cases but it is not consistent.

Sometimes I have to scroll down several times as the page takes so long to load it keeps wanting to jump me back to the top. So annoying!

Agreed!

I too have to wait but I don't know it until after I have scrolled to where I want to be. But the problem with that is, the page has not fully loaded so the scroll is ineffective. So I scroll again and again and when the page finally loads, I am miles away from where I want to be so I have to scroll back. LoL
Annoying is spot on.

This is the only site where my mouse wheel seems to be ineffective
But half the time the whole page seems to freeze, the interface itself seems to die, only a refresh seems to "fix" that.
I usually have to drag the page down using the slider bar on the right...something I haven't done since the days of pre mouse wheel, lol

Exactly the same here my friend but I do like the notification idea. I can react to posts very quickly. Ok, it has its bugs but that is consistent and will be rectified one day.

Scrolling is so glitchy, it makes me NOT want to visit this site.

There are also times when you get to the bottom, the scroll bar starts bouncing like crazy until it lets go and I can finally go to the top of the page.

Correct you are and I am sure this is being looked into, or at least I hope this is the case.

Thanks for your response.

Same here. The stickiness and page jumping is really obnoxious.

The JIRA mentioned in this thread http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-8100 is about enabling or disabling the scroll feature. Yes, ok, give the admin a choice but the thread was not about switching on or off, it was about fixing the scroll.

I like the scroll effect very much but it really needs to be developed and quicker if it is going to be of any great use.
