The documentation for submitting your app to the Apple App Store has been updated. If you have had problems submitting to the store due to changes in Apple's website, please rebuild your iOS App and download the new package to receive the updated documentation.

Is a developer account the only way to use the mobile suite? I don't want our forum accessible by anyone except our coworkers but they'd like the app as an option

Unfortunately it is Apple that imposes this restriction, not us. There is no way round it. The only way to get an app onto the Apple app store is by having a developer account.

You can see Apple's requirements and restrictions in their Developer system.

No, it needs to be via the recognised app stores. This restriction is imposed by Apple and Google, not vBulletin. It is how their platforms are designed.

In the documentation for iOS under Section 7: Preparing Your App For Upload it mentions that you need to go to iTunes Connect - this is incorrect it seems. Instead you need to go to https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/

I spent quite some time trying to fix the error iTunes Connect gave me when I tried to log in before I found out I didn't even need it, so I hope this information helps others as well
