iPhone app users cannot upload photos

After upgrading recently to v4.1.11 and subsequently recompiling the iPhone and Android apps, we find that iPhone users cannot now upload photos using the app. This function works ok usingthe Android app.

Theerror we get on the iPhone app is:

“Youare not logged in or you do not have permission to access this facility”

Weare logged in and the permissions are global within the forum. I havelogged on with the same user on both Android and iPhone, it works on the Android, not on the iPhone.

We are due to launch the new forum early next week and move our 13,000 members over, so will need to fix this urgently as it's one of the positive points we are pushing.

Any helpful advice welcome. Thanks . . .

Hi Wayne, thanks for your reply. Details below:

      iPhone app: Solos Forum
      Test site : http://www.solosforum.co.uk.php5-25....ink.com/forum/

      Password: solos

Photos in her test account albums were uploaded from the iPhone before the upgrade from v4.1.9 to v4.1.11 and the subsequent recompile of the iPhone and Android apps. The Adroid app works ok.

As I am based in the UK the resposes to you may be delayed.

Thanks for your help . . . Richard

          Thanks again . . . R

Hi Richy. I am experiencing the same issue as you when trying to upload images to an album via the iPhone application. Did you get a resolution for this, or is it still outstanding?

                Regards,
                Brad

                  Hi Brad
vBulletin Support found that there was ab issue with the v1.2 Mobile Suite and suggested this should be fixed within the v1.3 release. We have used the opportunity to update vBulletin to v4.2 and update the Mobile Suite to v1.3. We have compiled the iPhone app and submitted it for acceptance. Once this is released as an app update, we will download to an iPhone and test if this has fixed it. As you know it can take a while for this.

I'll update this post with results. Here's hoping.

                  R

                    Hi Richy,
Have your apps gone live yet? Has the problem been resolved?

Hi Brad, yes this now resolved. We upgraded vBulletin to 4.2 and also updated the mobile suite to 1.3. Both iPhone and Android apps were recompiled and submitted. The users have now received iPhone update and all is working fine now. Hope this helps . . .
