    ok really confused then

so if they submit under users/customers account........ What keeps them from changing their Apple/Google Developer Account passwords before their forum runner account expires so then you guys can't login and remove from sale.....

Also if you remove from sale what stops them from logging into their own account and putting it back up for sale only way to keep them from doing it would be to actually "DELETE" app but then that also keeps you from putting it back later if they decide to renew it as would then require adding it as a completely new app with new bundle id, etc and then every user would have to now download new app....

Don't know. We don't do it. Forumrunner does. They are a separate department from vBulletin so you would have to ask them.

We're not associated with ForumRunner support or Development. You need to ask these questions on their site. All we support is integration of the free product with vBulletin.

Question, and I think this potentially a huge issue depending on the response:

Does Forum Runner or the Mobile Suite collect analytics data from sites which use them? For instance, does either product keep collect or track IPs, visits, users, post/read activity or anything else on any sites they are used on?

The mobile suite (vBulletin mobile suite), does not get routed though anything. It connects directly to your site.

I can't answer anything about forumrunner, you'd want to contact their sales/support.

Pretty sure ForumRunner has access to all of this. They control the apps and get the analytics on that as well as any reports back from the app. You also have to use their servers in order to enable the push notifications.

vBulletin Mobile Suite Apps does not connect to our servers nor is there any need to. Not only that but you have access to all the App store analytics.

What do people using both forumrunner and tapatalk do on mobile device detection? i.e. with just tapatalk a user will get a pop-up but with both what happens? Or do you offer the choice of either in one pop-up? tia

But this isn't about branding it's about a free to add feature. Yes users have to pay for the app but it isn't much and the way things are going there will be a lot of vBulletin forums on there.

This will be a serious challenge to the somewhat dominant position of TapaTalk; but of course there's no reason you can't support both which I already do.

OK. Sounds like vBulletin 4.1.12 with ForumRunner is a good deal. I read at Forum Runner that they also integrate Google AdSense.

I’ll download and upgrade to vBulletin 4.1.12. After all, I just fix an error in vBulletin 4.1.10 … today!

                        Done!

I upgraded to vBulletin 4.1.12 without a glitch. I configured also ForumRunner and integrated it with Google AdSense. For those interested: Soon, Google AdSense will no longer support high-end devices (iPhone, Android). They recommend instead using the same code as in AdSense for Content.

Everything works OK at this time. Upgrading vBulletin has been much better lately (after v4.1.10, my latest experience). This ForumRunner seems to be a good addition. All we need is thousands and thousands of eyeballs!

                        Best of luck!

I already had Forum Runner enabled and upgraded to v4.1.12 and the new plugin took over without a hitch.

I really like the ability to change the header colour, it means users accessing your forum will have a slightly different experience to other forums, it would be great to see this extended to more aspects, even just the current grey bars having a custom colour - I know this is down to forumrunner not just vBulletin.

I have a branded version of ForumRunner and consider it some of the best money I have spent on my forum.

My users love it and it plays nice with Google Ads (Google is Shutting down Admob so I recently moved over to Google Ads and my earnings have grown over Admob earnings!)

I wouldn't even consider the vBulletin Mobile Suite to much work for an app that does so little, Plus forum runner has full iPad support as well.
Yup I run a BIG Board.

I've been directing them to Tapatalk and just having forum runner installed so I appear in their directory.

But now I may change that so Forum
                              Runner is recommended.

                                Not an issue with either.

The User downloads either Forum Runner or Tapatalk from the app store.
They then select which forums they will browse for the Forum Runner or Tapatalk directories, or type in the forum url.
FR also has a push notification so if the app is running you will get a pop up on your device when something is notified.

The device detection is only an issue with the mobile skin which vB sorts out for you.

Download FR for free to try it in read only mode.
