    IOS APP Rejected.

My app was rejected for the following reasons.

We found that your app crashed on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.

Your app crashed on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks when we:

    1. Launch application
    2. Input Username and Password
    3. Tap Login
    4. Application crashes

We have attached detailed crash logs to help troubleshoot this issue. For information on how to symbolicate and read a crash log, please see Tech Note TN2151 Understanding and Analyzing iPhone OS Application Crash Reports.
I followed the instructions that came with the app after downloading from members area, What next?

Your version of vBulletin is not compatible with the current version of the App. With the release of 1.1.3 of the APP, this minimum version increased to 4.1.10 due to API changes needed. Looking at your site, I see it is running 4.0.8. You need to upgrade to vBulletin 4.1.10 to be compatible.

I would suggest recording the API Key at vBulletin API -> API Key in your Admin CP to make sure it doesn't change. It shouldn't unless you had the 3.X MAPI Plugin installed for some reason.

the test site is running 4.1.12, which is what the app is pointing too, atleast thats what i configured in the app builder thing in the members area.

Is my forum URL embedded into the app? i.e. the one the license is bound too or does it rely on the url i put in the app builder?

It goes by what you enter. Tests sites shouldn't be open to the public and should be behind .htaccess. This would probably cause problems with the app. Once your test site goes live, you would have to rebuild the app if the URL changes and then resubmit it to Apple. I recommend only launching the app on a live site due to the work involved and Apple's approval process.

ok, so based on your response, it should work as its using the URL i entered, i.e. the test site.

I followed all the steps in the instructions that comes with the original app download from the app builder, what else am i supposed to have done - I see no other instructions in the zip file.

Did you load the app on your own device and test it?

I only followed the instructions that came with the package, i didnt see any links contained within that to any other instructions or guides/recommendations - thus, this should be enough, no?
