Android app - "You have not created any private message folders"

Firstly thanks to the team who released the latest Android app - an excellent app. I whinged like hell after buying the suite and with both the mobile style and the Android app now working I am now a happy chappy. Anyway....

The app does not show me any private messages. There is no software error, just a blank page for inbox and setbox, but if I click on "Folders" I get the message "you have not created and private message folders". PMs are working fine on the main site.

The log entry for an inbox request is

"Array ( [api_m] => private_messagelist [api_v] => 3 [api_c] => 2 [api_s] => XXXXXXX [api_sig] => XXXXXXXX [folderid] => 0 [perpage] => 10 [sort] => date [order] => desc [pagenumber] => 1 [do] => messagelist [sortfield] => date [sortorder] => desc )"

(the folder ID of inboxes is 0 on the main site)

I got a blank page of messages when I first clicked on messages, I then clicked on sent messages and they showed. Went back to messages in box and they were there.

I've just bought and set up the apps for the 2nd of my sites now on 4.1.11 and have the same problem. Does anyone out there have the same thing?

Could a helpful app user please post what is in their API log when someone accesses their inbox, obviously removing anything sensitive. I would like to compare mine with a version that is working:

For a workaround, if you go to your site with a regular browser and create a folder does it work?

Just add private.php?do=editfolders to the end of your URL.

I can add a folder and move a PM into it using the link you posted Wayne Luke. All is well on the normal site.

On the mobile app I can see the new folder, but I can't see the message in it.

I can send messages from the app.

Also I can see the raw request in my access log - basically just an extended version of my log entry.

I'm wondering what is different about my system as no-one else seems to have the problem, and I have it on two sites, across different versions of VB and on different handsets. The only unusual thing about my CentOS setup is that the apache servers are load balanced, but there must be others doing the same thing. I'll do some experimentation tomorrow on a virgin simple test server.
