Vbulletin 3.8.7 - confused about my "mobile" options

    Hi,

Can someone explain what my options are for mobile-optimized viewing of my vBulletin 3.8.7 forum (community.herinteractive.com) . I've seen a reference to a lightweight style (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=263822), a mobile API download (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H4ek9gZ7pY) , the mobile suite here too.....what are people using to deliver optimized mobile forums?

There is nothing built in regarding styles for mobile vbulletin in 3.x. There are third and first party mobile apps. The Mobile API is for owners of the vBulletin mobile application. I hear a lot of people use a third party style for vB3, or an app if they've got enough mobile users.

Thanks Zachary. So my next question would be, what additional options would we have on VB4 or VB5? We are looking to do a major redesign of our web page and would then want to "reskin" the forums to match the look. If possible also provide a great mobile experience. We are very happy with the vb3 feature set otherwise.

Also for the vb4 or vb5 options, do we have to use a separate app. Sorry to bug you but I'm new to vBul and am just trying to figure out what our options are. Can you expand more on the mobile api/app. I'm not looking for step by step instructions at this point, just the options available.
