Thank you guys for giving me my first infraction. It was clearly undeserved and utterly laughable in contrast to the abuse I received here. I guess the truth of a little joke using the words uttered by someone else must really sting. Looking at the bright side, it's one of the few signs of some action that someone is doing something other than writing words.

I saw the reply and I really didn't need to be thankful. It's obvious why none of these conversations are out in the open for potential customers to read.
That said, the "top priority" comment wasn't intended to be aimed at you. I've appreciated the work you've done in the past when you weren't an employee and I haven't forgotten. But you should remember that patience is beyond an end and all this talk about top priority, coming soon, on the horizon, etc. always ends up with minimal or no results. You may be sincere but there is sensitivity seeing those words as a customer. There is an economic cost to all of this. My frustration all along has been directed to the people responsible, for them to show up and show a modicum of respect for the customers. The last several months of hype which seemed to be yet another promise of delivery of the long overdue VB 4 core -- and was just more sucker marketing to keep customers here to sell another needless premium product. And there is no excuse for the practical abandonment of the custom mobile app while the meter is running and it obviously needs work at the critical early stage... Yes, I can see Allen is really making an honest and concerted effort but it's far too little, far too late. The months of hype to sell the Facebook app was a big insult and there is also far too large of the VB 5 shadow. And when the CTO nor the GM had nothing at all to say to customers about the direction for the future, that is the story of this place in a nutshell.👍 1Comment

by vbSuperfanI just started developing a minimal vBulletin "product" for modifying some specific strings in posts on the fly, dynamically when they are being viewed.
Everything went really smooth...-
