Prevent Spam Accounts?

Since I upgraded my mobile app to 1.2 or whatever it is, I've been getting new spam accounts signing up almost every hour.

Anyway to prevent this?

Are you sure these spammers are signing in through the app? That doesn't seem likely.

can this occur, yes or no?

spammers are desperate , and to them the more spam == the more money. so i don't think its farfetched to think a spammer would go through the effort to obtain the API key.
