Connection error with vBulletin App

I'm trying to have a play around with the vBulletin app (iPhone) and keep getting the following error:

There Appears to be a connection issue between your device and vBulletin. Please try again.

I've removed and reinstalled the application with no luck. Tried over a wifi and 3G connection with no luck. Tried logging in and also as guest with no luck.

Any ideas?

I had that same problem. We are running 3.8.4 Patch Level 2 and I accidentally installed the mobile API for 3.8.4 before the patch. (I used folder "381-384" instead of "384pl1-387"). My solution was to uninstalled the API plugin, re-install the correct version, and re-compile the apps with the new API key.
