testing the mobile suite

I was wondering how the mobile suite app works. If I create a test app (with default images and descriptions), can I go back and make changes as needed? The reason I ask is that I saw a warning box that said once I start the process I wouldn't be able to go back and edit it. I want to be able to edit stuff (graphics and descriptions) before I submit to Apple.
Do I need a Apple Dev License to test the app in the Xcode simulator?

I think you can go back and edit most everything. You'll need a paid developer account if you want to test your app on your iPhone.
