Just curious...did your content age rating reflect it?

Sorry we haven't been rejected by apple yet as we've not submitted an app but we have a lot of NSFW stuff posted - very, very NSFW. It's a site for adults but it's not a porn site, it's a sports site where a lot of the members post rude stuff. I'm pessimistic about getting an apple app due to the content unless I can hide all NSFW threads from the app. We used to have nsfw thread in with normal threads just with prefixes but now I've moved them into their own forum and tbh I'd prefer not to have had to do that at all.

              Anyway my problem.

So, just as an example for you. A member of our staff's iPhone App was rejected because a users avatar had a girl in a bikini in it. They are pretty strict.

This is one of the main reasons I wouldn't dream of trying to get an iPhone app running. My members can use a mobile skin (as I do, as I have an iPhone myself) and be happy with it.

It's also why I'm surprised IB went down this route as a business model, it puts them in the position of effectively relying on Apple to maintain a source of income (as in, if Apple reject too many apps, people will get put off buying the app).

apple just rejected one of my vbulletin apps stating that the app contains info on hacking iOS.... well neither the app nor my website have anything on hacking iOS, iPhone, iPod, iPad or any other Apple Product...

dammit I was looking forward to parading in my mankini too

pfft yet they have playboy and tapatalk gives access to my forum already. it's so annoying and now i don't really have an excuse to buy a mac. was kinda looking forward to that.

@Steve - I'd love a look at the site they rejected - you can pm me (or not) with the details.

2011 and it feels like we're morally back in the 50s, maybe the 1850's.

                            Cheers for the feedback all.

                            p.s. speaking of morals:
Apple's iOS mobile operating system runs web applications at significantly slower speeds when they're launched from the iPhone or iPad home screen in "full-screen mode" as opposed to in the Apple Safari browser, and at the same time, the operating system hampers the performance of these apps in other ways, according to tests from multiple developers and The Register.

                            Apple ain't got none!
