    Next version suggestions?

Hi all - done some quick searching, but can't find a thread/place. I'm looking for somewhere to post suggestion for future versions of the mobile app.

In case there isn't one - can I start off?

    1. A REFRESH button - to reload latest info!
    2. Change Home "newest" from Threads to Posts (or provide an option for people to select?)

Thats the main two for me and my users at the moment ...

    Cheers
    Martin

Those options are not available at this time.

      Martin,

the tracker is the place for suggestions these days. I've added the refresh one http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBM-1360 - why not have a try for number 2 yourself?

I was amazed that the refresh one wasn't there already. That said, most of my issue reports turn out to be duplicates so maybe it was. Also I need reminding myself that stuff doesn't exist until it is in the tracker. There's been huge long threads about stuff that everyone presumes someone posted to the tracker but then weeks later realise no-one did.

Yeah I was sitting thinking earlier on how annoying the Android bug was and was absolutely sure that someone must have something open in the tracker about it then it dawned on me that everyone else was probably thinking the same. Action was then taken.

Don't know if that way is even possible atleast with the iPhone app because then would be circumventing their in-app purchase system therefore cutting them out of their 30% so probably against their developer agreement.

I am just looking for a in-app purchase to remove ads...

OP, FYI: The newest algorithm is getting updated in VB 4.1.4; and as far as refreshing - the items should be refreshed when you navigate away and then back to the app homepage, it will fetch new items.

Can you implement the "pull to refresh"?

I'll give you the source code if you need it.

I don't think pull to refresh is the good solution for us... let's say you have multiple pages in your thread and you want to refresh it....
what do you do ? scroll to the top to trigger the pull to refresh ?? I think a button is working better

Yea, a button would work great on the thread pages. But if your thumbing through the forums page and would like a quick way to refresh without trying to precisely hit the button (not that it's hard, i know). It's just another feature that users would enjoy i think. It doesn't have to be on each and every page. It's a convenience thing.

actually I just submitted a Ad-Free version to Apple on top of the ad supported version I am going to go write a How-To right now and hopefully maybe vB will sticky it..
