Can someone confirm whether it is 199USD one-off fee or 199USD annually?
I assumed it was 199USD one-off fee but it appears that the introduction offer was 99USD, then 99USD per year.

Could someone clarify? I may consider 199USD one off but not 199USD every year :/

    Thanks
    Ludo

Is it 99USd for updates/support or simply for being able to use the app?

could you for instance purchase the app fo 199USD and never pay annually but still have the apps on your website?

The $99 is for updates to the apps and support plus the inclusion of any apps for other devices that are added to the suite.

well you could pay the $199 and never pay the annual fee but you will never have any updates... So you could be stuck running version 1.4.0 while the latest is 5.0.1 and your 1.4.0 not run on any of the latest phones..............

IMO $199 is well worth it and the $99 for the year is worth it too.

I completely agree that is code is too buggy for the money. Furthermore, when we submit tickets for these many bugs, we are told by the vB staff to fill out some very long and tedious Jira bug tracking sheet as if this is some open source project and the code is free.

It is the worst commercial code we have every paid for, that is a fact.

100% agree silkroad. this is embarrassing. my forum depends on users accessing password protected boards.. and guess what, i file bug report, and its not being fixed right away.. lol. basic features don't work , and you want to charge $199? registration doesn't work with captcha enabled and $199? (this is the most basic function of a forum and it doesn't work)

i want very badly to be positive, but these simple bugs are a killer. all i'm asking for is the basic things to work.

Yes tapatalk is $1,798 for the iPhone/Android app and that doesn't include any upgrades so new version comes out thats $35/hr to get the upgrade... so your looking at way more then $2,000

I have Tapatalk installed (It's free) why would anyone pay thousands just for a branded version. If you want users on your forums then you need to give them all the options, Tapatalk and Forumrunner should be the top of your list.

Considering the time and effort to get the vB app working as well as the quality of the product you might be better off spending $2,000. Your other option is to install the free version of Tapatalk and let your members pay for the app.

So - if a branded version isn't important, an admin could still get a license and needed file without paying $1,798 then, I guess?

Yep, it's free for you but your users will have to pay $2 for the app if they don't already have it.

I have the branded version of ForumRunner and it has been with every penny I paid for it.

The vBulletin mobile suite is a joke with all the hoops you need to jump through to get it to work, besides buying it you also need the $99 developer account to submit the app, and then even after you $300 into things there is nothing saying apple will even approve your app for release (as we have seen here a number of times in this very forum)

With ForumRunner I never had to worry if my app was ever going to be done or get released.

It works and works well, additionally it supports the iPhone, iPad and android. It was money well spent.
Yup I run a BIG Board.
