    Stuck on Site Information

    Hi All,
I recently purchased vBulletin Mobile Suite and attempting to install it on vB 4.1.3.

When entering the API key and forum address (tried various combinations including forum.php at the end) I get the following (see screenshot attached also):

'Your website is on an older version of vBulletin. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin. You need at least 4.1.2, or 3.8x plus the current Mobile API plug-in'

Underneath the forum URL it has a message
'Your website is on an older version of vBulletin. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin. You need at least 4.1.2, or 3.8x plus the current Mobile API plug-in'

I am running vbSEO and the vbseo sitemap which have both been disabled to no avail, even went as far as disabling other plugins which appears to have made no difference also (suggestion from vB support).

I also modified the .htaccess file as per a number of suggestions out there.

Looking at the web server logs I can't see anything to indicate any problems so am a little stuck, just wondering whether anyone else has had any problems like this and see how they have corrected the issue at hand.

You need to add api.php to your vBSEO exclude section:

vBSEO CP -> General Settings -> vBSEO Options -> Exclude Pages -> Add

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Thanks Lynne, I have tried adding api.php into the exclude page as per the attached Click image for larger version

In .htaccess I also changed the following:
      RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|chat|cron|api\.php)
      RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^(admincp|modcp|api\.php|clientscript|cpstyles|images)/

The forum address you enter shoudl be exactly what you enter in vboptions > site name/url > forum url

When you disabled vbseo, did you also remove all the htaccess for it, and then see if you could enter the url/key?

The URL was copied from vb options.

When I disabled vbseo I removed the entire contents from htaccess, just tried it again as well to no avail just to be sure, even tried removing the file all together.

I sent through a follow up support ticket nearing 4 hours ago now I guess but haven't heard back.

Thought I would try the forum to see whether anyone else had experience a similar issue.

Edit: My apologies I did receive a reply fairly quickly, was going through a different mail account to what I normally check throughout the day.

It may not be vBSEO it may be your host's firewall which was my case: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...=1#post2152261

Thanks for that, will take a look.

It would certainly make sense as to why I am unable to locate too many others with a similar issue.
