    Problem with APP ID

I think I screwed up good. Here's what is listed in my iOS Provisioning:

    Freemasory XXXXXXX.com.internetbrands.XXXXXX

As you can see, I've mis-spelled the app name. If I try to fix the name in the mobile publisher, it doesn't match the APP ID on apples website and apparently, you cannot change/edit once it's setup and I can't create a new one because the the "The bundle identifier you have specified is already in use".

I went ahead and submitted the app to itunes as you can change the name when it's uploaded. Unfortunately, what is displayed under the app icon doesn't change the name assigned to your App ID. When you use the app, such as going to the home screen, it displays the mis-spelled name.

Is the only solution to have IB change my app number, is that's even possible?

I;m pretty sure the only way to do this is to resubmit your app with the edited info.

I've tried. If I resubmit the app with the correct spelling, apple will not allow my to sign the app/upload because it doesn't match the spelling on the app id. I can't create a new app id because "com.internetbrands.4c1XXXXXX" is already in use and apple doesn't allow you to change/edit/modify existing ones.

Any suggestions? Can my app id be changed? Do I need to buy another mobile license?

Is it just the label of the app?

Nah, it seems there's a unique name/id created when you setup a license and/or create the app. For example, when I use the publisher to create the app, it names it as 4c1b222aXXX. This information, i assume, is embedded within the app as well and since it's tied to my goofed up app id, I cannot fix the misspelling.

Can vB delete your app on their end so you can start over?

That would be great, but so far no one from vb has responded as to whether they can or not.

You should be able to edit and rebuild the app - I am not sure I am understanding the problem correctly, sorry.

My app ID with the incorrect spelling is:

                        8V66Q79SV7.com.internetbrands.4c1b222a124

Apparently when you build the app on your end, "com.internetbrands.4c1b222a124" is embedded into the app. If I rename the app and reupload it, the new name will not match the one tied to the app id apple has on file and unfortunately, they don't allow you to edit it.

Blake - we can remove the entry in the database and you will have to rebuild the app with the correct name to generate a new app id. Will that help you? Please let me know and we'll do this.
