Unable to Register via phone

I have had a few reports of people not able to register for site via my app I tested and had same issue while the option to register is in the app it doesn't show a reCAPTCHA image so when they hit submit they get a error message about failing human verification

confirmed. same thing happened when I just tried to register on my phone.

I just registered on dm mobile. What I DID notice was that the registration fields were greyed out at first and impossible to put in any text. So i tapped about a bit then when i tapped on accept rules the form fields became active.

Most people won't tap about the way i did and will just quit.

android version btw.

also I get a connection error trying to get to the mobile app thread.

well just tested those threads from my iPhone and worked fine gonna go test from my G1 now....

hmm just tested from my Android phone and from a standard user and no errors

i had the same problem but i turned off Human Verification and works fine

Ya had it off before and got tons and tons of spam then turned on with the question/answer system and still a lot of spam so use the reCAPTCHA and no spam at all

theres other mods out there that stops the spam that work great i have mine turned off and no spam at all

I just made a bug report for an issue I'm having like this, but with vBulletin's CAPTCHA.

I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't let the Mobile API get around the human verification.

Is something else going on?

The mobile api doesn't require any capcha. Are you sure you have no third party addons?

I had the same issue. I was using a 3rd party plugin on my site that combined recaptcha and the question answer. I disabled it and mobile registration started working. Of course now I get spam, but that is a different issue.
