vBulletin logo on iOS and splash screen issues

I'm having a problem with how the splash screen is displayed. When you launch the app...

So far so good...time for the login boxes to appear...

As you can see, the background is zoomed in. Here's a pic of before an after...

Any suggestions? Also, how do I remove the "Powered by vBulletin" advertisement on my app? I like the clean look of the android screen and wish to have the same on the ios version. FYI, I tested the app on an iPhone 3G and iPad 2...both have this issue.

dont know about the first issue but the "Powered by vBulletin" I think if you have purchased Branding Free the Branding in the App should be removed also...

You'll need to edit your image so the text / logo moves up about 30 pixels; the login box does not check where your text begins or ends, it appears in a set spot.

I downloaded the Airline Pilot Forum ios app and it doesn't have that issue.

As I mentioned in another post, the splash screen on this app works well and doesn't "zoom" in. Also, what steps are needed to remove the vbulletin advertisement on the ios app? Is it even possible?

There's something different going on in the two examples. The first is getting zoomed in and covered with a opaque layer. None of that's happening in the 2nd example. I think this is a feature built into your phone to make the screen easier to read in the first example--Your graphic is very dark with contrasting imagery.

The Airplane Pilot Forums is using an older version of the mobile app(v0.8.2.1168) so maybe this zooming problem is related to the v1.0 release? Hopefully, it's fixed in the new update.

Ugh. Hopefully they don't tamper with the Android version and add their advertisement. I'd be willing to pay a little more $$ to have it removed from my ios app though.

Okay, here's the deal. I tested my app on three different devices:

                      iPad 2 (Zooms in)
                      iPhone 4 (Looks as intended)
                      iPhone 3G (Zooms in)

I assume this is due to the different resolutions of the devices. Is there anyway we can get an update to scale the image to always fit the screen no matter what device/resolution? The only option so far is to squeeze my logo to the very very top of the screen but the downside is nothing but the background is shown when the login boxes appear. I'd recommend all of you guys with mobile apps to test them on numerous devices. It may look good on your test device, but for others it may look awful.

This page from apple has the recommended image sizes to submit according to device:

Custom Icon and Image Creation Guidelines

That might help with some of the problems.
