Changing color scheme and icons, does not update the version number

    My problem is quite simple:

After my app is approved and available from the app store, i decided i want to change color scheme and my app icon. I created the app from the available wizard but i run into a problem when i try to upload my newer version to the app store:

I get this message from Application Loader:

This bundle is invalid. The key CFBundleVersion in the Info.plist file must contain a higher version than the previously uploaded version.
Same message for CFBundleShortVersionString, which makes sense.

So although i create a newer version of the app, i don't get newer version in the app info. So now what? Shouldn't the version number be updated every time we change things? Is that possible with compilation?

    Regards...

It is not a newer version of the app. You will need to wait until at least tomorrow for the verison number to update. You're still submitting the same binary verison of the app, more or less.

Yeah thats true i know. I am just saying that if you decide to change things like color scheme or icon, splash screen, you wont be able to until u guys release a newer version. Just wondering if there is a workaround there.

You have to wait a day, for the version number to incriment or some such. Maybe I am thinking this is for android. Give it 24 hours and try agian.

Exactly. I had this same problem...just waited 24 hours, reuploaded and it worked like a pro.

So that works for Android only or iPhone too? Cause i am still getting an error with iTunes.

Is this the issue we are talking about?

If you cannot update because the version number is the same for iPhone this will help...

you can manually change the version number... this is how-to:
                        1. in finder, select the app bundle and click on "show package content"
                        2. search fot info.plist
                        3. modify the file with a simple text editor
                        4. re-sign

                          Please be careful doing that.
