They are really losing marketshare, the number of app downloads an average BlackBerry user makes is around 50% of Android, and 40% of iPhone users.
In addition, a lot of the Blackberry handsets out in circulation are older models that wouldn't be capable of running an app like ours, and we have to support a number of screen sizes and interfaces (keyboard/touchscreen)
I am not ruling it out - but at this point in time until Blackberry can produce a product to the level of Android/iPhone and that device can gain sufficient market share (and app downloads), there isn't a huge amount of value for us to add it.AdrianComment

Thanks for posting that - interesting. I would like to know if thats just NA marketshare, or not. I am guessing it is - Android hasn't penetrated other markets anywhere near as well, and Symbian has a much higher Marketshare particularly in the EU market.
What we have seen from our experience is that iPhone users are much more likely to download apps in comparison to Android however - in fact our experience is almost double the amount of downloads to iPhone devices compared to Android.AdrianComment

So any idea when the problem with the Editor is going to be fixed... I am getting lots of complaints from my users that they cannot post from their iPads.. oh and just thought of a argument for a iPad version of mobile suite...
yes while can looks at site just fine because of the larger screen....
with App you can add ads = revenue stream
with App you can charge for it = revenue stream
with App can have a free ad version and a pro (paid) ad-free version = bigger revenue stream...------------------------------------------

There is more devices, unfortuantely the business case for Blackberry isn't as compelling.

On the other hand, BlackBerry smartphones will eventually be running OS QNX and most likely also be able to run Android apps as well. So, in that case, BB users would be able to install the Android version on their BlackBerry. But this OS transition may not happen until 2012.
Mobile suite aside, what about updating the Mobile style for BlackBerry OS 5 and OS 6 devices? I hear that is coming with vB v4.1.5?Comment

Just because more BB devices are coming doesn't mean that you'll see more. iOS and Android still dominiate the states.
I really wish WebOS was more widely used myself. Its an amazing OS.Comment
