What Mac Are You Using To Run Xcode 4?

As I understand it, Xcode 4 has no real minimum requirements.

It will run on anything that can run Mac OS X with an Intel processor. How well it will run is another matter, so I'm looking for suggestions of what type of Mac will work "best" without breaking the bank. Will a standard Mac Mini do or should I settle for nothing less than a pimped out Macbook Pro? What about coding on an 11 or 13 inch screen?

I'll be running it on my 27" iMac (2.8ghz Core i7, 4 GB Ram etc). Personally, if you the current mac minis cannot run it that well, I'd be really surprised. Sure they won't be as fast as a mac pro, but they'll run it. For the price, and with HDMI, I don't think you can go past the mac mini. It's just a pity my girlfriend won't let me get one...

You should be able to run it on a Mac Mini. See: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=450766

Hmmm.....that thread is over 3 years old.

I wonder if Xcode 4 has increased their requirements since then.

The Mac Minis have been made more capable since that thread as well.

The apps compiled here are done off 2 mac-mini's

I believe it should work with Leopard. We put Snow Leopard as the requirement as we couldn't clarify 100% and thought it better to be safe than sorry
