Impex returning 1044 error: can't seem to get past it to complete last step of import

I have been trying to import a couple databases, while nearing the end of the first import I came to the "Database cleanup & restart" but the link that I'm supposed to follow is redirecting me to:
    ../impex/help.php

    When I click it it's giving me a 1044 error, I don't get what's going on.

When I get to the impex screen from the control panel, all the options are gone and no other options are present. Did something get jacked?

The forum itself is working fine but this is the error that I'm getting:

ImpEx Database errormysql error: cannot use database vbulletin_forum

mysql error: Access denied for user 'databaseuser'@'%' to database 'vbulletin_forum'

    mysql error number: 1044

    Date: Sunday 22nd 2012f July 2012 01:24:45 AM
    Database: vbulletin_forum
MySQL error: Access denied for user 'databaseuser'@'%' to database 'vbulletin_forum'

Could I use a database query of some kind to reset all the import database entries back to "0"?

I could really use some help with this as I can't continue and upgrade to vbulletin 4 until I get this issue resolved, if anyone has any other thoughts on how to resolve this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

I've tried dozens of ideas and nothing is helping at this point.

Right now I'm attempting to just do a fresh install and then import data into a whole new database but after the last several attempts I honestly doubt this will resolve my issue...

Any help would be really appreciated.

    is there anything in the:
    includes/config.php

That might be a direct cause of this error even if the forum is running fine?

okay, so that didn't even work for me.....

I tried creating a whole new database, with new user and everything, setup a new forum, did a complete database import from one of my other databases that I uploaded to the server. It imported the files but as soon as I try to clean up the database I get this damn 1044 error....

what in the world could be so wrong that it just wont work?

The databases work fine, everything else works fine.... but the final step.

    What am I missing here?

I'm still having this problem, haven't been able to solve it.

Anyone else with suggestions on the subject?

Okay so after reprovisioning my server and just reuploading all my files I was able to get rid of the 1044 error.

I now have a new error though:
ImpEx Database errormysql error: Link-ID == false, connect failed

        mysql error:

        mysql error number: 0

        Date: Thursday 20th 2012f September 2012 09:16:36 PM
        Database: vbulletin_forum
        MySQL error:
I'm at a loss here, I just don't know what needs to be done. I am the server admin so I can do whatever needs to be done to fix it I just have no clue as to what needs to be fix. If anyone can give me direction I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help.

I just need to get past this so I can remove the impex ID tags so that I don't have to worry about the database having those tags so I can merge another database into this one. Please help.

That error comes from incorrect information in the ImpexConfig.php file. Make sure that:

          - both databases are on the same server
          - the information in that file is correct
          Vote for:

          - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
          - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

That's the problem.... they are on the same server and the info in the files is/are correct.... Everything else works fine, it's very strange!

              false, connect failed

That says that it can't connect to your database.

but it connected fine to transfer all the data out of the database during the first steps of the import process.... So why would the last step not be working?

Try checking your server's error logs - was there any connection issues at the time?

from what I have been able to tell in the server log is that there have been no errors. I even did the process and tried to immediately check the log and nothing came up as an error.
