    Impex PHP Error

this is the error I am getting when trying to do the import...

Remove ImpEx once import is complete and final
ImpEx build version : 1.104 You do not have MSSQL support in this version/compile of php, the importer will not be able to connect to the source database

I am running windows 2003 server and I used xampp to install MySQL and apache

any help would be appreciated !

    thanks,

    Joe

Well the PHP error is pretty clear, you don't have MSSQL support in PHP, so we can't do the import.

Contact your host about the issue and tell them to enable MSSQL support in your PHP, otherwise, you should need to setup a Windows localhost to do that migration, or a Windows Host, maybe the one where you had Snitz?
Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

still getting an error... impex goes as far as to connect and I can pick what forum software to export from snitz and what to import to... then it lists all the tables as possible custom or incorrect prefix with no valid tables found... I checked the database multiple times.. the names are all correct.... the permissions are correct also ....

            any ideas ?

            Joe

Yea, and it wont go away unless you have MSSQL support, until you do, you can't use that importer to import.

                  Zachery,

Im not a Linux guy, so im trying to do this on windows .... XAMPP simply does not support MSSQL on their platform.... I went on their forums and looked everywhere.. anyone who had issues similar to mine did not get any help from them.. I tried to download the dll's from Microsoft with nothing but errors.... I purchased 2 software conversion tools to convert my sql database to MySQL database... they both were successful... i.e. the database and all the tables were created in MySQL database server ( the same server hosting the vbulletin db ) and every time I ran the import tool it could not find the tables... the credentials for the database are correct ive checked it a hundred times... the prefix is correct.. I have also checked that multiple times... i can go to phpmyadmin and see the tables.... see that there is data in them.... i don't know what to do from here... between the converters and your software ive already spent over 500 bucks.. as well as a server to run this on ...
                  Altering tables

ImpEx will now Alter the tables in the vB database to include import id numbers. This is needed during the import process for maintaining references between the tables during an import. If you have large tables (i.e. lots of posts) this can take some time. They will also be left after the import if you need to link back to the original vB userid.

And if you look at your database, do you see those tables listed (FORUM_ACTIVE_USERS, FORUM_ALBUM, etc)?

Lynne, yes.. they are all there!!!..... ok so after trying that multiple times I changed direction. I was able to hobble together MSSQL support on this server.... now it finds the tables but I have a new error on the conversion...

                        This error:
Connection is busy with results for another command

is a server error (not from vbulletin). You should ask your host about that one.
