Import Issue: Post userid=0

We are doing multiple forum imports, all vBulletin (4.0.5 and 4.1.2), into a single forum (4.1.11). After importing, we ran into a similar issue to this one where some userids were set to "0". For some of these users, the imported username is identical and should have the same email address but their posts have been set to "Guest" now. Does anybody know what is causing this to happen?

I have never encountered that problem. If you set the user module to automatically merge by email address then the associations should be preserved.

Are you perhaps running the user module multiple times in the same import session? That doesn't work. You need to click the "database cleanup & restart" link at the top of the page to delete the session and start a new session. That is what enables multiple consecutive imports.
