vBulletin 3.8.7 into vBulletin 4.1.7 (merger)

I want to merge existing vBulletin 3.8.7 into vBulletin 4.1.7.

Is this possible and supported by current impex version ?

any special things to take care of...as i dun want users to reset password or face any special difficulty..

You can use the current version of impex for melting from vBulletin 3.8.7 version 4.1.7. I do this question, because of the merger and not do the update?
