Running the final step - Database cleanup & restart

When I try to run the final step in the ImpEx process, Database cleanup and & restart, to eliminate all the 'imported' tags, I receive the follow error message:


There seems to have been a problem with the database.


ImpEx Database error
mysql error: Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error:
Date: Saturday 09th 2013f March 2013 05:29:46 PM
Database: ********_vbull
MySQL error:


I have verified the settings in the ImpExConfig.php script in the "Target" database area. I know it's probably some little thing I'm missing again, so my education continues.

OK. I have done even more searching and found this mentioned in the following post from '07:

I ran this script and received the connection successful message.
I reviewed a bunch of the other search results I got from searching on 'database cleanup & restart'. There are a couple that seemed to have gotten it to work but what they did to fix it is not clear.

I was the last time I tried it.

But due to some nasty issues, I have had to go back and start from scratch. Will let you know if I run into this issue again when I get to that step.
