Can I safely drop impex fields and table?

In 2005 I migrated my site from webwiz to vbulletin with impex. This created a mass of database fields, like:
    importattachmentid
    importavatarid
    importcustomavatarid
    importcustomprofilepicid
    importcategoryid
    importforumid
    importmoderatorid
    importphraseid
    importpmid
    importpollid
    importpostid
    importthreadid
    importsmilieid
    importstyleid
    importsubscriptionid
    importsubscriptionlogid
    importusernoteid

    And tables like:
    vb_impexerror

Can I safely drop these fields & table?

    I am running vb3.

Have you closed the ImpEx session under the Clean Database link at the top of your impex page? If so, you can safely delete any remaining ImpEx tables and fields. If not, deleting the tables and fields can cause problems with future Imports.

I have no clue. In 2005 someone did the conversion for me. The original database no longer exists.
      How can I check this?

Run the cleanup tasks on that page... Making a backup of the database would assure that you can recover if something goes wrong. That the fields are still there suggests the cleanup was never run.

Currently the page does not show anything useful because the config file does not have a source database anymore and the page therefore shows a database error.

Can you upload a backup of the previous one? If not, import a copy of your live one and point the config to it - you're not going to be importing from it so that won't be a worry

*IF* You had at any point in time, wrote a custom script to associate old (let's for example use phpBB) url's with the new vBulletin url's AND the plugin code referenced importid's then DO NOT DELETE the old data.

Just one thing that came to mind for me .
