Question about rebuiling post tabel and parentid

So I am working on a move from UBB Threads to VB. So far I have come up with a pretty good import process by running this on our test board. One of the things I am trying to do is use the cleaner to clean up any links to standing threads from the old UBB install. I have been able to do this, and even found a way to update the posts after the import to the original postid from threads so that all of the links work properly.

Here is the one gotcha though. If I do this (ie update the postid to the importpostid) is there a way to properly rebuild the parentid in the post table so threading will work. That is the only thing that is broken after I have tested this.

Any thoughts?

Nope, there is no clean way of doing it by modifying the existing data, the best I could think of was this :

That way the 301 returns update the search engines and over time they will redirect to the new data.
