Sounds like the import may of run twice, or that a page was refreshed while it was importing ? The yahoo import is typically messy because of the source database though it rarely duplicates everything.

Ah! Flashback.
When I imported the posts, it takes a while before you see anything on the screen. I now recall hitting "Continue" twice.
Will start over. Should be quick the 2nd try, but I am sure you are spot on.
