Importing Error....Help

Hi.

I am new to this community, and just let me say, VB has already been a great investment.

I have a problem. When trying to import my PHPBB forums into VB, after following all the steps so far, when choosing what forum software I would like to import from, I get an error. The error messege is below.

I have another issue. Not anything big. Something which can be lived with, but just looks un-professional.

As you can see here, it for most of My Replies, it has imported_Paul_Hollibone instead of Paul_Hollibone. It links to my user profile. And in the topic itself it says what it should be saying.

Does anyone know what is happening with this?

This is because you already had a user named Paul_Hollibone when you imported and you did not use the 'associate users' function during the import. You can still merge these users:

Admin CP -> Users -> Merge Users

Thanks. But after importing steve, it still has the imported_Paul_Hollibone. I rebuilt thread info, and updated user titles.

Yes I did. I even updated the counters for the required area's like it said to after I merged user imported_Paul_Hollibone to Paul_Hollibone, deleting imported_Paul_Hollibone.

What exactly did you do and what is the current problem? If you merged these users then there would have been no option to delete that user.

It seems to be fixed now.

I went to the user admin section like you told me, and went to the "Merge User" section. Typed in the imported user at the top one, and typed in the user I wanted to keep at the bottom. Click ok, or whatever it is, it said doing this will permanatly delete Imported_Paul_Hollibone, I agree'd to it. And somehow after that, it is now all proper again. Weird hey.
