Yup, it's been fun keeping on top of it to date (schema changes etc), though this is a fairly major one I think.

As always if there is a system or a change to an existing one to be done to keep the importers up to date and to give people options, I'm sure it will happen

You got a willing Guinea Pig over in this thread..
I was wondering about the status of the Eve Converter. Eve recently underwent a fairly extensive update. The new version is 4.03, is the current converter compatible with this version? Also, what components does the converter import. Thanks, Chris

        DCForum Version 6.12 Import (Flatfile)

How long will you need to add import for DCForum Version 6.12 (flatfile database). We can supply demo database.

It will depend on how many votes it gets on the poll, i.e. once the demand is high enough.

Is there a conversion to the MySQL back end ?

I'll ask the dc-forum support for a conversion (flatfile > mysql). if this exists, we could use the importer system i think...

That is going to be the fastest way I belive, I know that the tool exsists, then once that is done us the dB based importer.

I think that there is a tru need for a comprehensive PHP-Nuke Import script. And yes, I know there is a phpBB script but one for the complete conversion of the PHP Nuke implementation would be more useful as many MANY Nukers are coming to the realization that vB just Rocks alot more than PHP-Nuke.

There is a PNphpBB2 (Post nuke) importer, its basically the phpBB one with the slight changes.

There is already one for SMF:

lol, sorry, I did a search for "Simple Machines" and the guy said there wasn't enough demand and referred to this thread as to the forums that were in demand. Good to know there's an importer, I'll be moving another board to 3.5 as soon as it's released.

Ive always said that the holy grail of converters would be WWWBoard (Matt's Script Archive) to vBulletin. There's still a lot of ancient WWWBoard systems out there, churning away since the mid-1990s.

WWWBoard messages are stored as individual HTML files (1.html, 2.html, 3.html and so on). When a new message is posted, the board's wwwboard_main.html (or whatever you decided to call it) and other HTML files in the thread tree are altered, with links to other messages in the thread are added.

WWWBoard also has a ton of other quirks typical of mid-1990s-era Web-based forum software, among them no user registration system and no post count tracking.

EDIT: Okay, it's possible ... but complicated and ugly

Could a CuteNews importer be made? I've got a considerable amount of comments made and due to spam I am considering changing to forums based news. I can provide a text database if one is needed.
