First time installation - Online instructions here are outdated

Are there updated instructions for the installation of this app?

I have installed the SSL Certificate on my site...I've opened the Facebook options within Admincp and I see Facebook Support reads "Supported".

But as I attempt to follow the .pdf instructions that are posted on vBulletin forums, it's outdated. When I click in the Facebook Developers section, there is a different look and wording than what is presented in the instructions.

Are there new instructions posted or a better walk thru?

All I have done so far is generate and installed the SSL Certificate.

When going into the developer's area, I get the following....and I'm lost on where to go from here:

at top right where says "Apps" click on that and then new app

Thank you, but clicking on the "Apps" linked icon, keeps me on the same page as the above attached jpg file.

I think I'm getting confused here as well...

Okay, appears there's a Facebook App, and there's a Facebook Connect.

The Facebook App has a fee to it...Facebook Connect doesn't.

At this point, I just want to enable Facebook Connect.

Please advise. Thank you.

You need a verified facebook connect profile to build any Facebook applications in the facebook developer center. This requires a verified mobile phone, or a credit card on file.

I have integrated Facebook Connect.

Can someone elaborate further on this Facebook App....how it works? I understand I would have to purchase the app from Facebook for about $99. Are there more fees included other than the SSL Certificate? Why would an Admin want to add a Facebook App to their forums?

The terms are confusing. However, there is an application that we sell, that allows you to have your forum run inside of facebooks environment. Then there are applications you create in facebook, which allow you to connect your site for likes, logins, posting to peoples walls from your actual website.
