We do not support running the app without the Friends' Forums widget. If you decide to remove it on your own, that's up to you.

To change the order of the Discover tab, there are a few settings in config.php you can play with. The primary number you'll want to adjust is weight for each category. The higher the number, the better chance of it being on top.

You can not currently re-order the three tabs.

I'm not sure which part you are asking for explanation of, but if you're referring to the friends' forums part there is a blog about it here: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/entr...twork-Overview

                          Paying $99 for facebook app
Paying $even more for SSL certificate
Spending a couple of hours configuring and installing.
Spending another day getting no help from support and fixing buggy code myself to remove problem that support blamed on facebook
Spending time and effort getting users to try out the application
Result: Users get distracted and end up visiting some weird forums with topics I would not even dream of suggesting.
                          Priceless...

exactly same story here. VB is enjoying a unique situation of having the upper hand in the niche of forums.
The day there is a serious competitor, people would start leaving ..... and then vb would improve its products and support.

I find it absolutely dazzling that they did not even provide us with an option not to show their ads "Friend's Forums" .....

                            How bad that is.

Well you only have to change one byte in one file to remove it.
I say, someone add a suggestion in the tracker to have it configurable instead. And the rest of us vote on that suggestion. Maybe I will do just that, but not today.
