Giving the APP permission to access a users FB profile

What's the minimum permission level the APP must have for the Facebook user to utilize it?

I noticed that some of the sites listed in this forum have different permission requirements for APP access.

Your config.php file contains what we determined to be good defaults for the app. If you wish to play with the settings, do so at your own risk.
