Making a forum a part of a html website

I have and run a vbulletin 4.1.2 forum and have done so for several years.
It is a stand alone forum, I have now reached the point where I want to rejuvenate and create a website about my subject matter and include the forum as a "page" on the site.
I appreciate that I will have to put the current forum into a folder probably called forum.php and then I think I would create a portal for the main site with a link from the portal to the folder so that a visitor can cruise between the main site pages and the forum seamlessly.
However it is some years since I coded anything and wondered if anyone had already done this and could give me some directions or if there might be some instructions somewhere on the net that I could follow.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

You would just login to the AdminCP, and update the forum url, and then move ALL of the forum files into that folder. Its very straight forward.

Thanks Zachery, I didn't realise it would be so simple.
