*Admin/Moderator, I've ran into this on one of my clients sites, a upgrade from 3.8 to 4.0.1 after they used the style generator, seems to be a style generator issue imo and I have not posted a bug or searched the tracker yet but wanted to post just in case you notice posts over the next few days/week that warrant pushing this out as a quick tip for 4.0.1 users who used the style generator . Will check tracker tomorrow and if you do push through delete this top paragraph and thanks regardless.

If your on 4.1 and used the Style Generator to fabricate your style chances are you could see the search button moved down quite a bit and the "Advanced Search" link moved down as well, if that's the case try this:
AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Select "Edit Templates" then find CSS Templates and expand > Find vbulletin-chrome.css and click to edit
Now find:
Replace with:
Basically your adding in:
To that CSS definition to align it properly, adjust the value i.e. 26 to the number that aligns it properly if not .
