Is there any way to remove the times forum posts are made?

There is no switch to turn these off. You would have to edit each template where they appear and manually remove the code to display them.
You can display the template names in the HTML output by changing the option under Settings -> Options -> General Settings.Translations provided by Google.

I would like to remove the display of Active Members from the Statistics Module. Is there a setting that can do this, or a phrase that can be edited? I tried searching for these things but am not sure...
