    [Forum] Guests-not logged cannot see attachments (while they have permission through admin control panel)

    Hello,

    I'm trying to figure out how to fix this but no way.

    In the "Usergroups manager" I have marked the "Can download attachments" and "Can see thumbnails" to "Yes" (as have in all other user groups).

    Every group but the aforementioned can see said attachments, and when you click on the name of the attachment (e.g. IMG_234445.JPG, the only thing displayed) you get the standard message "you are not logged in or do not have permissions, etc. Maybe it is necessary to register, etc"

    As to follow rules for asking, here we go:

    vBulletin Version: 4.2.5
    PHP Version: 5.6.38
    MySQL Version: 5.5.62-0
    Any Addons installed: Yes Digital Point Sphinx Search, iTrader, Multiple Login Detector, vBSEO, Tapatalk
    Does the issue occur in a default style?: Yes.
    Error message on the screen': written above
    Browser and Browser version used: Chrome, 71.0.3578.98 (Build oficial) (64 bits)
    A list of steps that can be used to recreate the issue: Just try to watch a post with attachments wihout being logged-in

    Thank you in advance,
    Anton

    What are the permissions for each usergroup under Attachments -> Attachment Permissions.

      Every group of registered users (except banned or in process of being approved by admin -> COPPA or waiting for e-mail confirmation) are set to "yes" in "Can upload attachments" and "no" in "Can define arbitrary styles..."

      EDIT: in the non-logged usergroup does not even appear such option

      The fact is, as explained, that this is the only usergroup unable to see such attachments

        Did I do something wrong?

        Something I said?

        Something I did not say?

          We are likely to need a support ticket to investigate this further as we will need access to your admincp and server. You will need a valid support contract for that.

          It would be worth disabling add-ons via the config file to see if this fixes the problem, as add-ons can mess with permissions.

          To do this, open your config.php which can be found in your forumroot/includes directory

          Just below
          Code:
          <?php
          enter
          Code:
          define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
          and save the file.

          Does the problem still occur?
